For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
This is the day that the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
And now do not be afraid, my daughter. I will do for you whatever you request, since all my fellow townspeople know that you are a woman of noble character.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and exult in the surrender of my body, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. . . .
For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.
You will keep in perfect peace the steadfast of mind, because he trusts in You.
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.
You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God.

But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”
Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and took hold of Peter. “You of little faith,” He said, “why did you doubt?”
“Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him.
Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
And indeed, have mercy on those who doubt;
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.”
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
We also have the word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
Behold, every soul belongs to Me; both father and son are Mine. The soul who sins is the one who will die.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or dissension.
So your life will hang in doubt before you, and you will be afraid night and day, never certain of survival.
His father recognized it and said, “It is my son’s robe! A vicious animal has devoured him. Joseph has surely been torn to pieces!”
So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward. You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.
Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. Blessed is the one who does not fall away on account of Me.”
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love.
Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
When the islanders saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “Surely this man is a murderer. Although he was saved from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.”
Look, I am with you, and I will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—
“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts?
And He was amazed at their unbelief. And He went around from village to village, teaching the people.
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.
I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
For I want you to know how much I am struggling for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me face to face, that they may be encouraged in heart, knit together in love, and filled with the full riches of complete understanding, so that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
“Why are you so afraid?” He asked. “Do you still have no faith?”
This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John, who testifies to everything he saw. This is the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and obey what is written in it, because the time is near. John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from Him who is and was and is to come, and from the seven Spirits before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood, . . .
And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
You have kept Your promise to Your servant, my father David. What You spoke with Your mouth You have fulfilled with Your hand this day.
He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will,
how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
because by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified.
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
“You of little faith,” Jesus replied, “why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it was perfectly calm.
being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope.
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
