Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit.
Even if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, and He knows all things.
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, observing the evil and the good.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary; His understanding is beyond searching out.
As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intent of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
And they prayed, “Lord, You know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two You have chosen
And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
“Can a man hide in secret places where I cannot see him?” declares the LORD. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the LORD.
O, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and untraceable His ways! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?” “Who has first given to God, that God should repay him?” For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.
He determines the number of the stars; He calls them each by name.
Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or informed Him as His counselor? Whom did He consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the paths of justice? Who imparted knowledge to Him and showed Him the way of understanding?
For He looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.

You have taken account of my wanderings. Put my tears in Your bottle—are they not in Your book?
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
God intended that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.

Where can I go to escape Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle by the farthest sea, even there Your hand will guide me; Your right hand will hold me fast.
The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law.

“Let them come and tell us what will happen. Tell the former things, so that we may reflect on them and know the outcome. Or announce to us what is coming. Tell us the things that are to come, so that we may know that you are gods. Yes, do something good or evil, that we may look on together in dismay. Behold, you are nothing and your work is of no value. Anyone who chooses you is detestable.
At that time those who feared the LORD spoke with one another, and the LORD listened and heard them. So a scroll of remembrance was written before Him regarding those who feared the LORD and honored His name.

My transgression would be sealed in a bag, and You would cover over my iniquity.

Surely the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.
I, the LORD, search the heart; I examine the mind to reward a man according to his way, by what his deeds deserve.
Lift up your eyes on high: Who created all these? He leads forth the starry host by number; He calls each one by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.
For You formed my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Instead, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, not in order to please men but God, who examines our hearts.
I will go down to see if their actions fully justify the outcry that has reached Me. If not, I will find out.”

For God need not examine a man further or have him approach for judgment.
So He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is prized among men is detestable before God.
You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your presence.
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Now to Him who is able to do so much more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,
Can anyone teach knowledge to God, since He judges those on high?
For no word from God will ever fail.”
For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
For behold, He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind and reveals His thoughts to man, who turns the dawn to darkness and strides on the heights of the earth—the LORD, the God of Hosts, is His name.”

Bring out a people who have eyes but are blind, and who have ears but are deaf. All the nations gather together and the peoples assemble. But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to heaven? No, you will be brought down to Hades! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
He replied, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great. The land is full of bloodshed, and the city is full of perversity. For they say, ‘The LORD has forsaken the land; the LORD does not see.’
However, there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray Him.)
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the way everlasting.

Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the LORD—how much more the hearts of men!
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
The LORD looks down from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From His dwelling place He gazes on all who inhabit the earth. He shapes the hearts of each; He considers all their works. No king is saved by his vast army; no warrior is delivered by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for salvation; even its great strength cannot save. . . .
would not God have discovered, since He knows the secrets of the heart?
For You, O LORD, are Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
They say, “The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob pays no heed.” Take notice, O senseless among the people! O fools, when will you be wise? He who affixed the ear, can He not hear? He who formed the eye, can He not see?
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze.
Surely You desire truth in the inmost being; You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
There is no darkness or deep shadow where the workers of iniquity can hide.
The LORD looks down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if any understand, if any seek God.
Who can discern his own errors? Cleanse me from my hidden faults.
He says to himself, “God has forgotten; He hides His face and never sees.” Arise, O LORD! Lift up Your hand, O God! Do not forget the helpless.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men,
And God, who knows the heart, showed His approval by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as He did to us.
