A false witness will not go unpunished, and one who utters lies will not escape.
There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that run swiftly to evil, a false witness who gives false testimony, and one who stirs up discord among brothers.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
A false witness will not go unpunished, and one who pours out lies will perish.
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one another.
“Which ones?” the man asked. Jesus answered, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness,
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, refusing to uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, because he is a liar and the father of lies.
“You shall not spread a false report. Do not join the wicked by being a malicious witness.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
If anyone says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
But to the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”
The commandments “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and any other commandments, are summed up in this one decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

An honest witness does not deceive, but a dishonest witness pours forth lies.
Like a club or sword or sharp arrow is a man who bears false witness against his neighbor.
He who speaks the truth declares what is right, but a false witness speaks deceit.
A lying witness will perish, but the man who listens to truth will speak forever.
Do not testify against your neighbor without cause, and do not deceive with your lips.
A lone witness is not sufficient to establish any wrongdoing or sin against a man, regardless of what offense he may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If a false witness testifies against someone, accusing him of a crime, both parties to the dispute must stand in the presence of the LORD, before the priests and judges who are in office at that time. The judges shall investigate thoroughly, and if the witness is proven to be a liar who has falsely accused his brother, you must do to him as he intended to do to his brother. So you must purge the evil from among you. . . .
You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not cheat others, honor your father and mother.’”
And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and the holy city, which are described in this book.

Hostile witnesses come forward; they make charges I know nothing about.
Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible.

If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? You must not go about spreading slander among your people. You must not endanger the life of your neighbor. I am the LORD.

A corrupt witness mocks justice, and a wicked mouth swallows iniquity.
For we walk by faith, not by sight.

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

A good name is more desirable than great riches; favor is better than silver and gold.

But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward
that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who practices an abomination or a lie, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Now there was a rich man dressed in purple and fine linen, who lived each day in joyous splendor. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute justified by her actions when she welcomed the spies and sent them off on another route?
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that your days may be long and that it may go well with you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged.
Now as Jesus was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth, and His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him. While it is daytime, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” . . .
At that time some of those present told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. To this He replied, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered this fate? No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Or those eighteen who were killed when the tower of Siloam collapsed on them: Do you think that they were more sinful than all the others living in Jerusalem? No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” . . .
Men of Israel, listen to this message: Jesus of Nazareth was a man certified by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did among you through Him, as you yourselves know.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us.
Showing partiality to the wicked is not good, nor is depriving the innocent of justice.
Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the Israelites is like the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved.
